In a recent exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former President Donald Trump took a jab at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, mocking his tendency to wear high heel lifts inside his cowboy boots. Trump quipped that DeSantis “walks like a duck” when strutting around in his elevated footwear. According to Trump, a “really good debater” could challenge DeSantis to take off his shoes during a live television event to expose the hidden lifts.

Trump’s comments were inspired by DeSantis’ unsteady departure from the stage during the last debate. The former president expressed his surprise that DeSantis continues to wear the lifts despite the evident difficulties he encountered. He suggested that someone might confront the governor and demand he remove his shoes for inspection. Trump believes a skilled debater could exploit this situation to embarrass DeSantis, as he “walks like a duck” and tries to ignore the issue.

During an interview in October, he emphasized that his boots were ordinary Luccheses without any artificial enhancements. Yet, the rumor has spread widely on social media and news outlets, prompting discussions and investigations into the matter.
Videos of DeSantis stumbling off the debate stage have gone viral, further fueling the narrative surrounding his alleged use of lifts. Even Trump himself mocked DeSantis’s awkward walking during a rally. Other political figures, such as former U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley and Senator John Fetterman, also joined in on the mockery.
