A new advertisement featuring Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has recently stirred the political pot. This ad encourages working-class men to cast their ballots for Kamala Harris while keeping their voting intentions a secret from friends and family. If that doesn’t raise a few eyebrows, nothing will! The ad is part of a broader strategy from a Democratic PAC, which has also previously suggested that women should follow suit, hiding their voting choices from their husbands. It’s almost as if they’re saying, “Lie, cheat, and keep it a secret, but let’s pretend we’re still a democracy.” This has led to a growing perception that dishonesty is integral to the Democratic Party’s playbook.
Meanwhile, on the right side of the aisle, a pro-Trump PAC is running ads that seem like a breath of fresh air in this sea of deceit. While Democrats promote secrecy and deception, the Trump campaign embraces transparency and pride in one’s choices—values that resonate with many Americans.
The difference in messaging couldn’t be clearer. While Democrats rely on washed-up celebrities—whose star power faded faster than a summer blockbuster—Trump’s camp draws on genuine patriotism that appeals to the heart of America. With actors like Clooney and musicians like Bruce Springsteen attempting to sway voters, their outdated relevance seems to suggest a party in desperate need of fresh ideas or faces. And while nostalgia for the ‘good old days’ is charming, one can’t help but wonder if their messages still resonate with today’s voters.
