Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill: The Secret Corporate Giveaway Exposed

President Donald Trump just signed the fiscal year 2025 budget reconciliation bill, nicknamed the “Big Beautiful Bill.” Surprise, surprise! It’s a budget crammed with questionable handouts, especially the expanded subsidies for carbon capture and storage (CCS). The liberal love affair with “green” technology has reached new heights of absurdity. These heavy-handed carbon capture subsidies are nothing more than a scam. Taxpayers are footing an enormous bill to line the pockets of corporations hiding behind a “green” façade.

For far too long, the government has poured billions of hard-earned dollars into unproven CCS technologies. Liberal policymakers would have us believe that these initiatives can save the planet. But, of course, these lofty promises lack transparency, have no clear benchmarks, and ultimately feed hyper-profitable industries under the guise of environmental stewardship. It’s just another example of big government throwing cash at a problem without asking tough questions.

Section 45Q of the federal tax code is causing a real problem by boosting payouts while making verification of carbon storage nearly impossible. The original promises sound impressive, capturing and storing carbon dioxide for climate impact. But are taxpayers getting their money’s worth? There are no guarantees here—only loopholes, red tape, and special interests lapping it all up.

Enhanced oil recovery gets a massive boost under the bill, and the implications are jaw-dropping. Big oil and gas are raking it in by using our tax dollars to fatten their bottom lines. All this while pretending to be environmentally conscious. Liberal policymakers have once again proven they don’t mind sabotaging their own climate agendas, as long as it keeps the oligarchs satisfied.

The expansion is slated to cost taxpayers billions, with no concrete evidence it will produce tangible environmental results. The absence of proper emissions benchmarks or taxpayer safeguards makes matters worse. We are essentially handing blank checks to industries gaming the system. Should Americans stand silently while Washington hands over a free pass for corporate greed, all packaged as climate action?
