President Trump is once again proving he stands up for America by slapping the European Union and Mexico with a bold 30% tariff. As if we needed any more evidence, the EU and Mexico have been treating the United States like a doormat for too long, flooding our markets and taking advantage of bad trade deals. It’s about time someone in the White House cared about American workers and businesses.
Liberal critics are already whining about these tariffs, claiming they will hurt relationships overseas. How darling that they care more about European and Mexican interests than our own! This tired old narrative from globalists and left-wing elites assumes Americans should just sit back and watch job opportunities fly overseas while other countries line their pockets at our expense.

It’s crystal clear: this tariff shake-up is what the people voted for in 2016. America first means focusing on what’s good for the United States, not appeasing European bureaucrats or placating Mexico. The tariffs are expected to give American industries a fighting chance against unfair foreign competition. For too long, American manufacturers and workers have been left vulnerable by reckless policies of past administrations.
Of course, the liberal media will twist these truths. They will complain, throw up their hands, and declare the sky is falling. Their consistent failure to recognize the importance of strong trade policies reveals their relentless disdain for American sovereignty. It would be refreshing if they redirected some of their outrage towards the real offenders snatching jobs from hard-working Americans.
Trump didn’t get to the White House by playing soft. He got there by putting America first. So, liberals and globalist sympathizers can shout themselves hoarse. These tariffs signal a powerful message: America won’t be taken advantage of anymore. Will it ruffle some feathers abroad? Sure. But isn’t it about time America ruffles a few feathers for its own benefit?
