In a bold move that’s bound to ruffle liberal feathers, the Trump administration has taken decisive action by removing five out of seven people from the federal board overseeing Puerto Rico’s finances. This is yet another example of President Trump’s no-nonsense approach to governance. These individuals, handpicked during the Obama era, have long been criticized for being out of touch and ineffective. It’s high time we hold these bureaucrats accountable and stop treating them like sacred cows.
Half of these dismissed members were Democrats. Surprise, surprise! The fact that the board was so heavily stacked with left-leaning members shouldn’t shock anyone. It’s a clear reflection of how Democrats worm their way into every nook and cranny of government to further their agenda. Why should we trust the same cast of characters to fix an island economy they helped sink in the first place?
Let’s not dance around the issue—Puerto Rico is in financial trouble, and it’s due in no small part to the mismanagement of those who were in positions of power. And while liberals howl in outrage over these firings, they conveniently forget their own failures and the empty promises that got us here. At what point do we admit the old guard needs replacing and bring in some real leadership?
The Trump administration has dismissed five out of seven members on Puerto Rico's federal control board that oversees the U.S. territory's finances, sparking concern about the future of the island's fragile economy. Four of the five are Democrats. https://t.co/4XFNS09k69

The left will cry foul, screaming that Trump’s actions are reckless. But what’s truly reckless is the constant kicking of the can down the road. The territory’s economy will remain fragile if we tolerate incompetence. The President understands that we cannot let political bias dictate financial oversight. It’s time to wipe the slate clean and bring in fresh blood with the guts to take hard decisions.
Why keep doing the same thing and expect different results? The Democrats’ hypocrisy and obsession with their failed leadership is astounding. If they really cared about Puerto Rico’s future, they’d applaud these changes. But then again, maybe they’d rather play politics than see the territory thrive.
