The Christmas season is supposed to be a time of joy, celebration, and reflection on the birth of Jesus Christ. Yet, the usual suspects in the liberal media are at it again, clutching their pearls at the Trump administration’s bold embrace of the holiday’s religious significance. Apparently, messages from officials celebrating the foundational Christian nature of Christmas were just too much for the progressive elites at The Washington Post. Imagine being offended by people acknowledging the “Christ” in Christmas!
The patriots in the Trump administration know what Christmas is truly about. The Department of Homeland Security’s celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth with a heartfelt video reminded us of the true meaning of the season. It was clear, bold, and unapologetic—a true testament to what the holiday stands for. The entangled liberals, always eager to erase this country’s Christian foundation, reacted with panic and cries of “Christian nationalism.” Perhaps they’ve forgotten that it was Christian values that helped shape the very fabric of America.

Let’s not forget the words of Harmeet Dhillon, whose message of religious liberty as a cornerstone of this nation resonated deeply. It takes real guts to stand up to the shrill voices who want to minimize or outright remove faith from public life. Furthermore, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins emphasized the holiday’s spirit of generosity and gratitude and rightly traced it back to the birth of Jesus Christ. Surely, liberal naysayers can’t argue with such positive messages?
But alas, the post-modernists in media circles are consistently vexed by any acknowledgment of Christianity. They parrot the same tired lines of “church-state separation” while conveniently ignoring that no government official is establishing a state religion by celebrating a revered holiday. This is just another page from the liberal playbook in their ceaseless campaign to silence expressions of faith. How ironic it is that those claiming to champion diversity and tolerance are, in fact, the quickest to suppress any viewpoint or tradition that identifies with the majority.
With this backdrop of absurdity, it’s encouraging to see the Trump administration standing its ground. They are not yielding to the radical, anti-Christian mob. Maybe it’s time to ask who’s actually being divisive here? In the end, it is precisely this brash honesty about the nature of Christmas that has earned President Trump the loyalty of millions. When did celebrating Christmas become an act of such bravery? Welcome to modern America, where the loudest voices seem to want anything but the freedom they claim to defend.
