Former President Donald Trump recently reignited his long-standing rivalry with Senator Elizabeth Warren during a rally, using his signature humor and biting critique to mock her Native American ancestry claims by dubbing her “Fauxcahontas.” The playful jab, which drew laughter and applause from his supporters, served as a prelude to a more serious discussion about the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), an agency Warren helped create. Trump criticized the CFPB as a bloated example of federal overreach, suggesting it has become more about creating government jobs than protecting consumers.

Trump’s administration has taken significant steps to curtail its activities, including freezing its funding and halting enforcement actions under the leadership of Acting Director Russ Vought.
