President Trump acted where others only talked, ordering Operation Epic Fury to knock out Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure and strike at the heart of a regime that has long vowed destruction against America. This is not rhetorical posturing — the White House laid out a sweeping campaign meant to eliminate an imminent threat and force a hardened enemy to its knees. The nation should be grateful our Commander in Chief moved decisively when diplomacy and warnings failed.
American airpower once again proved unmatched as B-2 stealth bombers and other strike assets hit hardened ballistic missile sites and command nodes deep inside Iran, demonstrating the reach and precision of our forces. These missions were carefully planned to degrade the regime’s ability to launch attacks and to protect U.S. interests and allies across the region. We should take pride that our pilots and planners executed complex strikes that foreign adversaries thought were out of reach.
This operation has not been without cost or danger; American service members have paid the price and more forces have been mobilized to the theater to secure gains and protect lines of supply. Families back home deserve the truth about these sacrifices and the government must do everything to support our wounded and the grieving. The hard reality of war is uncomfortable, but it is better than timidity in the face of a nuclear-armed theocracy.
So while our troops shoulder the burden, parts of the so-called mainstream media chose to amplify Tehran’s talking points and repackage Iranian claims as neutral reporting. CNN’s own coverage repeatedly highlighted Iranian state narratives and aired footage framed in ways that echoed the regime’s line, creating confusion rather than clarity for Americans trying to understand what our forces are doing. That is not reporting; it looks an awful lot like giving oxygen to the enemy in our hour of need.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon and White House have been blunt about the mission’s scope and objectives, making no apology for the goal of denying Iran the capacity to build or deliver nuclear weapons and degrading the networks that export terror. This is what strength looks like — clear objectives, overwhelming force, and an unambiguous message that the United States will not tolerate existential threats. Any outlet that refuses to acknowledge that fundamental truth is choosing narrative over national security.
Patriots know the difference between principled skepticism and pathetically reflexive anti-administration cheerleading on behalf of foreign tyrants. The media’s role is to hold power accountable, not to hand our enemies a microphone while our sons and daughters are exposed to danger. If networks want to earn back public trust they should stop humanizing and amplifying the mullahs’ propaganda and start doing their job: telling the truth about what American power is achieving and what it costs.
Americans ought to stand with the troops, demand full transparency from institutions that influence public opinion, and remember that liberty and security require vigilance at home just as much as force abroad. The current moment calls for unity behind clear American interests, not for the cynical games some in the media are playing that undermine resolve and risk lives. Our country, and the brave people who defend it, deserve better than that.
