Sometimes, the solutions to big problems are shockingly simple. Donald Trump, in his typical no-nonsense style, provided some unsolicited but oddly amusing advice to Democrats on how they might stop their electoral bleeding. The counsel? Just be normal. It sounds almost too obvious, doesn’t it? Yet, the Democrats seem to have a penchant for steering away from common sense and veering toward the absurd.
Take the issue of men competing in women’s sports. This is a topic where most Americans seem to agree: it’s unfair. But Democrats, who are supposed to be the party of equality and fairness, defend it to the point of absurdity. It’s the shining example of how out of touch they have become with mainstream values. The American people can see it’s unfair and harmful, yet Democrats double down on it, digging a deeper hole every time they open their mouths on the subject.

And it’s not just about sports. From promoting unlimited abortions to advocating for policies that weaken our borders and communities, the party’s platform reads like a manifesto of how to alienate ordinary Americans. They’ve become entranced by their echo chambers and out-of-touch media allies who celebrate every step off the cliff of sanity. It’s as though they are proud of taking positions contrary to what most voters want.
The Democrats have become experts at one thing: being anti-Trump. Forget policies or governance—everything boils down to the simple-minded mantra of “oppose Trump.” And while they obsess over silly gestures like flying mocking banners over Mar-a-Lago, the average American, who is struggling with real issues, tunes out their melodrama. Trump called it what it is: Democrats suffer from an extreme case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Yet, instead of course-correcting, the Democrats seem eager to amplify their extremism. Their future faces, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, champion policies that are more in line with socialist ideologies than American principles. Ordinary citizens are left wondering, how radicalized and out of touch will the Democrats become before they realize the joke’s on them? The answer is anybody’s guess, but one thing’s clear—if Democrats continue to march to the beat of their cacophonous drumbeat of political absurdity, “they’re almost insane” won’t just be a belief held by their critics; it will become a national consensus.
