Twice-Deported Migrant Identified in Charlotte Stabbing Case

In what seems to be a classic case of déjà vu, Charlotte is once again grappling with the aftermath of an egregious crime committed by an illegal migrant. The recent incident involves a man from Honduras, who has a notorious history of encountering the U.S. justice system. After being deported twice, he found his way back into the U.S. once again. This time around, he’s accused of a violent attack on a light rail system, further solidifying concerns about our broken immigration policies.

This isn’t the first time the same rail system has been the stage for such brutality. A Ukrainian refugee was brutally stabbed on the very same rail line just a couple of months ago. It seems like the Charlotte light rail has become quite the hot spot for violence—almost like a twisted attraction spot for criminals with a penchant for knives. One can’t help but wonder if they’re starting a club with special membership benefits exclusively for repeat offenders.

The suspect’s rap sheet reads like a bizarre ‘how-not-to-behave’ manual. This time, the allegations against him include breaking into a railroad car under the influence before committing the attack. His colorful past in the United States is littered with charges like robbery, aggravated battery, and resisting arrest, putting the rest of us law-abiding citizens to shame. It’s almost as if he’s collecting these charges like badges of dishonor. Deportation clearly hasn’t worked as the villainous passport stamp it’s traditionally been intended to be.

Politicians, such as President Trump, have pointed out the glaring flaws in current immigration enforcement. Trump has been rather vocal about how the left’s policies are systematically gnawing at everything that holds Charlotte together. On the flip side, the local administration seems to be sticking their heads in the sand, blaming “aspects of public safety outside the city’s jurisdiction.” How convenient it is to pass the buck when the situation gets sticky!

As Charlotte wades through increasing crime rates in the city, calls for stringent measures like deploying the National Guard are met with political pushback. It’s about time Charlotte took a page or two out of cities that have successfully engaged the National Guard to curb crime. Until the decision-makers stop trying to appease a voter base that idealizes open borders at the expense of public safety, citizens of Charlotte might need to start handing out maps that lead straight back to those heavily guarded borders.
