White House Rips Miami Herald for Fake News on Migrant Children

The White House is fighting back against what it calls “fake news.” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blasted the Miami Herald for publishing a false story. That story claimed the Trump administration targets migrant foster kids for deportation. Leavitt called the report “egregious” and completely untrue.

Leavitt explained the Department of Homeland Security tried to work honestly with the Miami Herald reporter. They wanted the story to be accurate. Instead, the newspaper printed lies about foster children. The administration is actually working to protect these kids from harm.

This government keeps children safe even when their parents break immigration laws. That’s the opposite of the last administration. Under President Biden, over 320,000 migrant kids disappeared after crossing the border. Many were trafficked, raped, or killed because of open borders.

The Miami Herald should feel ashamed for spreading fake news. They ignored facts from Homeland Security. Worse, they never reported on the thousands of kids hurt under Biden’s policies. Now they attack those who fixed the problem.

Look at the results: Trump’s border policies stopped all illegal entries in May. Not one child entered with smugglers that month. Under Biden, 11,000 unaccompanied kids arrived monthly. Many fell into traffickers’ hands.

The Miami Herald degraded itself by ignoring Biden’s border disasters. They stayed silent while kids suffered. Now they attack the team that secured the border. That’s not journalism—it’s political sabotage.

Conservatives know the truth. Our leaders protect children while enforcing the law. We won’t let fake news distract from this success. The border is closed, kids are safe, and America wins again.
