As we approach the Fourth of July, a disturbing trend is taking hold among Democrats. A recent survey reveals a sad truth about American pride. Just 36 percent of Democrats are “extremely” or “very” proud to be American. This isn’t just a dip; it’s a nose-dive into anti-American sentiment. It’s no wonder this decline coincided with Trump’s re-election, a time when Democrats are triggered into acting as if patriotism itself is a taboo subject.
The left, with their globalist agenda, ties their national pride to political power rather than the values and freedoms America offers its citizens. They were more “proud” when a compromised leader was in charge during the Biden era when national policies reflected their far-left ideals. But what exactly were they proud of? The undermining of the rule of law? Targeting conservatives? Seems to me, it’s not national pride but a celebration of political control.
Meanwhile, Republicans, unwavering in their American pride, stand firm at 92 percent. These are the real patriots of our nation. While Obama was in the Oval Office, Republican pride never faltered. That is a commitment to country, not a fair-weather friendship that changes with political tides. But Democrats, often the sore losers, turn bitter at the sight of true leadership that puts America first.
Mainstream media, academia, and Hollywood are pouring fuel on this fire. They’re teaching Democrats to hate America whenever things don’t go their liberal way. It’s their disdain that keeps cropping up like a virus, tainting the land of the free with their negativity. Yet here we are, the fortunate ones, basking in the freedoms that many around the world can only dream of.
As Americans, our liberties are a treasure. From free speech to the right to bear arms, these rights are what make America exceptional. This Fourth of July, let’s remember that we’ve hit the global lottery. So enjoy the fireworks, the BBQs, and the fellowship. Ask yourself this: In a world growing more authoritarian, why would any true American stand against the pride we should all feel? God bless America, the world’s beacon of hope and freedom.
