Father’s Day, a time-honored tradition dedicated to appreciating fathers, is under attack once again by those insisting on diminishing its significance. Just as dads across the nation were enjoying a day set aside to honor them, a Canadian writer chose to stir the pot by claiming Father’s Day should also celebrate mothers. It’s baffling and sad that this attack on fatherhood came just as families were celebrating the dads who work hard, love their kids, and provide for their families without seeking accolades.
This narrative of always having to share the spotlight seems to only crop up when it benefits the agenda of liberal elites. These are the same folks who are quick to push for month-long celebrations of every conceivable group while simultaneously telling fathers their day needs to be shared. It’s another example of how the family unit is often undermined by progressive ideologies. The feminists and social justice unions are always ready to downplay the role of fathers in favor of their own twisted narratives.
What is so difficult about giving dads one day? We’ve seen special months dedicated to every group under the sun, yet acknowledging fathers on one specific day now seems to be too much to ask. Imagine telling mothers on Mother’s Day to use their time to thank fathers. It’s absurd. But it seems certain folks won’t be content until every traditional aspect of society is erased or rewritten to fit their agenda.
Oh, for Crying Out Loud, Can't We Fathers Just Have One Day?https://t.co/QGIiHAHDLZ

Even suggesting that Father’s Day should somehow include a nod to mothers is a slap in the face to dads everywhere. By dismissing the importance of a day that honors fathers, these critics reveal their bias against traditional family values, which is so often the case with those on the far left. They are experts at turning every celebration into an opportunity to lecture and divide.
Dads have been pillars of strength and guidance throughout history, and many continue to be so today. Does it really hurt anyone to let fathers have their day? Maybe in the eyes of certain liberal commentators with an ax to grind, it does. But for those who value family, tradition, and balance, celebrating dads should be non-negotiable. Why is the left so intent on taking this away? Are they so blinded by their agenda that they cannot see the value fathers bring to the picture?
