Facial recognition technology was supposed to make law enforcement more efficient and accurate. Instead, it landed an innocent man in jail for an entire day. A 42-year-old man was wrongfully arrested because a computer program, supposedly unbiased and precise, misidentified him. Why? Because the AI was trained mostly on white faces, blinding it to the reality of black Americans’ appearances. This isn’t a glitch — it’s a glaring example of woke tech built on left-wing negligence and ignorance.
Artificial intelligence isn’t magic. It’s just humans in a new outfit. Humans who bring their prejudices, their blind spots, and yes, their ideological agendas. In this case, the model’s creators either didn’t care or didn’t think it mattered that the program was flawed for a huge chunk of the population. This kind of incompetence — or worse, indifference — is typical of the liberal elite’s approach to technology. They push high-tech solutions but refuse to ensure those tools work fairly for everyone, especially minorities. Maybe that’s because they’re more interested in tech as a vehicle for social experiments than actual justice.
Call it “built-in bias” or “systemic flaws,” but the truth is AI can’t be divorced from the society that builds it. If the programmers, the researchers, and the companies crafting these systems are riddled with ideology and poor priorities, those problems get coded into the machines. The left loves to champion AI as the future, but it’s just showing us the future of their political incompetence — a future where innocent people pay the price for their ignorance. Meanwhile, these tech companies rake in government money and globalist subsidies while passing the blame onto the “algorithm.”
Does this mean all AI is useless? Of course not. But conservatives should be the first to warn against blind faith in any technology dressed up as neutral or flawless. Face it: human bias shapes every piece of “objective” information. AI is only as honest as the humans behind it. We’ve seen time and again how leftist control of institutions leads to catastrophic failures—whether in education, medicine, or now technology. If America wants truly fair and effective law enforcement tools, it must reject the left’s shoddy, ideological experiments and demand accountability.
So here’s the real question: How many more innocent Americans will be wrongly accused or convicted because liberal elites ignored basic fairness in their rush to build “woke” technology? When will we hold these globalist tech giants responsible for weaponizing their biases against everyday citizens? Until then, the so-called “progress” of artificial intelligence is just another con game — and the victims will keep paying the price for liberal failure.
