Radical leftist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has once again displayed her stunning ignorance and deep-seated anti-Israel bias, this time by ignorantly claiming that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, was a “Palestinian” and would be a “Jewish Palestinian” if he were born today. What is she thinking? This is just another example of her far-left agenda and laughable lack of historical knowledge.
Breaking from the facts and historical accuracy, Ocasio-Cortez took to Instagram to equate the birth of Jesus to the plight of modern-day Palestinians, completely ignoring the truth that Judea and Samaria are the rightful and historical lands of the Jewish people. Her attempt to rewrite history and undermine the Jewish claim to the land of Israel is nothing short of disgraceful and deeply offensive.

It is deeply disturbing that Ocasio-Cortez would perpetuate the propaganda of the anti-Israel movement, conveniently leaving out the thousands of years of Jewish history in the land. Furthermore, her attempt to portray Jesus as a “Palestinian” is not only historically inaccurate but also deeply disrespectful to the teachings of Christianity.
Even noted Los Angeles rabbi David Wolpe called out Ocasio-Cortez’s ignorance, reminding her that Jesus was a Jew who suffered, and trying to twist his suffering into a story of Jewish persecution is downright antisemitic. This is not just a misstep; it’s a gross misrepresentation of historical fact.
Former U.S. Ambassador David Friedman also responded to Ocasio-Cortez’s misleading remarks, reiterating the dangerous and false narrative that she is pushing. And it’s not just conservatives speaking out against her absurd claims. Jacob Kornbluh, a reporter for the left-wing Forward, highlighted the fact that Ocasio-Cortez conveniently omitted the horrifying reality of Palestinian terrorism and the countless innocent Israeli lives lost at the hands of Palestinian violence.
This is not the first time Ocasio-Cortez has demonstrated a shocking lack of understanding when it comes to Israel. Her attempt to pass off these irresponsible and false statements as mere ignorance is insulting to those who value truth and historical accuracy. It’s time for Ocasio-Cortez to stop peddling her uninformed opinions and start educating herself before she further embarrasses herself and her constituents.
