Asa Hutchinson Panders to MSNBC, Abandons Conservatives for Debate Spot

Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, who is still technically in the running for the GOP presidential nomination, made a stunning admission during an interview with MSNBC. He shamelessly acknowledged that he needs their viewership in order to qualify for the first Republican debate later this month. Well, isn’t that just peachy? It seems he’s ready to pander to the liberal media and abandon conservative principles just to get a spot on that stage.

To qualify for the debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a candidate must have at least 40,000 campaign donors, with at least 200 donors from 20 states. On top of that, they need support from 1 percent of GOP voters in three national polls, or in two national polls and two polls in the early primary states. These requirements are designed to ensure that only the most serious contenders get a chance to shine and represent the conservative values we hold dear.

Hutchinson admitted that his path to qualifying is uncertain at this point. Well, no surprises there. If he’s resorting to begging for viewership from liberal outlets, it’s clear that his campaign is struggling. It’s a sad state of affairs when a supposedly conservative candidate is willing to rely on the very people who oppose our principles to boost his chances.

But it gets even worse when he starts talking about former President Donald Trump. When asked about Trump’s potential indictment over the Capitol riot, Hutchinson tries to paint himself as some paragon of virtue. He asks, “Do you support the rule of law and accountability or do you support Donald Trump and support the chaos that he brings?” How dare he question the loyalty and integrity of millions of Trump supporters?!

It’s clear that Hutchinson is trying to distance himself from Trump in a desperate bid for approval from the left-wing media and establishment. Well, let me tell you something, Governor. We conservatives stand with those who fight for our values, not those who cozy up to the mainstream media. We will not abandon our champion, Donald J. Trump, for the likes of career politicians like you.

So, the choice is clear, my fellow conservatives. We must reject the likes of Asa Hutchinson and his pathetic attempts to curry favor with the liberal elites. We need a candidate who will unapologetically stand for our conservative principles, not someone who will sell out to the highest bidder. It’s time to hold true to our values and make sure the Republican Party stays true to its conservative roots.
