In an unexpected turn of events, former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard has come out swinging in defense of former President Donald Trump, while simultaneously condemning the Department of Justice under Joe Biden. Gabbard raises specific concerns about the First Amendment and accuses the Department of Justice of disqualifying itself from its responsibilities due to its highly politicized nature. “What we’re seeing,” she boldly asserts, “is a politicized Department of Justice that has completely disregarded the awesome responsibility it has been entrusted with.” It seems evident to Gabbard that the department is using its powers to target political opponents, namely Trump and his supporters, while simultaneously shielding the “Democrat elite,” including President Biden and his controversial son, Hunter Biden.
Joining Gabbard in her defense of Trump is Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who criticizes what she perceives as a two-tiered justice system. According to Greene, this indictment against Trump is nothing more than a scam, and the American people can see right through it. Her support for Trump is unwavering, even stating that she would vote for him even if he were in prison because she firmly believes he is an innocent man who can save the country from what she labels as a “communist regime.” Greene passionately implores the American people to open their eyes to this reality and take bold action against the Biden administration, which she refers to as the “Biden regime.”
Meanwhile, Trump himself has pleaded not guilty to the charges laid against him in connection with the events of January 6th. He is facing multiple counts related to alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump has called this a “very sad day for America” and lambasted the current state of Washington, D.C., portraying it as a place fraught with decay and chaos. He sees these charges as political persecution and asserts that he is leading both in the Republican primary and against Joe Biden in the polls. In Trump’s view, these legal actions are an attempt to silence a political opponent, something he staunchly believes should never occur in America.
