Yikes! It seems like President Biden had a rough day in Vietnam on September 11th. During a press conference, he struggled to even speak properly, going off on strange tangents about “dog-faced pony soldiers” and insulting the Southern Hemisphere. At one point, he even mentioned needing to go to bed. To top it off, his staff cut him off and played music to mask any further rambling. Talk about a train wreck of a presser!
But the real kicker was Biden’s excuse for not attending any 9/11 recognition ceremonies in NYC, Shanksville, PA, or Washington, D.C. He claimed that since U.S. Presidents weren’t still visiting Hawaii 22 years after Pearl Harbor, he shouldn’t have to attend 9/11 memorials. That’s not only a terrible excuse, but it’s incredibly disrespectful to the memory of those who lost their lives on that tragic day. And if that wasn’t enough, Biden was actually in Vietnam on the anniversary of 9/11, thanking the Vietnamese for their sentiments. Can you believe it? It’s like he doesn’t even understand the significance of the day or the message it sends to the American people.
To add insult to injury, Biden also visited the “McCain Memorial” while in Vietnam. Now, I’m not sure if he even realized it, but this memorial is actually dedicated to the capture of Senator John McCain during the Vietnam War. The figure on the monument depicts McCain on his knees with his hands up, symbolizing his capture. So, why on earth would Biden go to this memorial on 9/11 instead of being at one of the actual memorial sites in the United States? It’s truly mind-boggling.
All in all, Biden’s actions on 9/11 were a disappointment and showed a lack of understanding and respect for the significance of the day. It’s moments like these that make you wonder if he’s really fit to be our president.
