Biden Blunders Deepen Democratic Divide Amid Calls for Withdrawal

The Democratic Party is currently experiencing an implosion, all thanks to President Joe Biden’s stellar performance in addressing concerns about his mental fitness. As if the man needed another reason to inspire laughter, his latest antics at a NATO summit press conference have deepened the chasm within his own party.

On Thursday evening, in an attempt to soothe Democratic nerves, Biden held a press conference to prove he’s still got what it takes to keep his party in the White House come November. What followed was a slew of reactions from the Left, ranging from plea-filled cries for Biden to step aside to denials that there’s any issue. It’s almost like watching a circus with the clowns running amok without a ringmaster.

Enter former Democratic Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, one of the first to suggest Biden should bow out gracefully. Ryan pointed out that while Biden did manage some coherent moments, instances of confusion, like mistaking Zelensky for Putin and Kamala Harris for Trump, were cringe-worthy enough to be laughed about for ages. This is what happens when the Left places their hopes on a man who can barely distinguish allies from adversaries.

To say Biden’s gaffes were a disaster would be an understatement. The most comical one was when he referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump.” At this rate, it’s a wonder he didn’t call himself Abraham Lincoln. In the aftermath, Rep. Jim Himes from Connecticut immediately called for Biden to suspend his campaign, becoming the 14th House Democrat to do so. And Himes didn’t hold back on X, acknowledging Biden’s previous service but urging him to hang up his hat.

Not to be outdone, Rep. Scott Peters from California also begged Biden to reconsider his campaign, stressing that the Democratic path is heading to a landslide defeat. Congressman Eric Sorensen from Illinois also chimed in, emphasizing the need for a coherent candidate who can articulate a hopeful vision, which is starting to look like a tall order for the current commander-in-chief.

Nevertheless, some Democrats live in La La Land, hoping beyond hope. Democrat National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison, for instance, brushed off concerns over Biden’s slip-ups as “nitpicking.” Harrison dismissively referred to Biden’s errors as mere “stutters” and “stumbles” on national television. If only blind loyalty had a face, Harrison would be its poster child.

Gov. Josh Green from Hawaii added his voice to the choir of denial, declaring his undying admiration for the president. According to Green, no number of ‘moments’—an apparently euphemistic term for Biden’s blunders—would diminish his love for the President. They say love is blind, and it appears to be particularly true here.

But former Obama adviser David Axelrod wasn’t sipping the Kool-Aid. Axelrod aired his concerns, labelling the age issue as a major hurdle Biden might not overcome. Axelrod pointed out that Biden’s path to victory is nearly non-existent and criticized the president’s team for shielding him from bad news, almost as if they’re hiding his medication.

With the Democratic Party in shambles and Biden’s continued missteps, one thing is hilariously certain: watching this political drama unfold is the best free entertainment conservatives can get.
