The President attributed the attack to Iran-backed militia groups, adding to the mounting casualties American forces have faced across the Middle East during the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. These are the first U.S. fatalities in months of strikes, highlighting the escalating risk for our brave troops.

However, it is concerning that there has been no immediate reaction from Jordan, a key bordering country in a volatile region.
The attack occurred near the Syrian border in northeast Jordan, where American troops have long utilized the country as a strategic base. In addition to the tragic loss of life, 25 service members were injured. This incident further demonstrates the dangers our troops face on a daily basis and underscores the need for strong leadership and decisive action to protect American interests.
