In a display of political theatrics outside the White House, dozens of Biden administration staffers gathered for a candlelight vigil, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. What a sight it was, with these political appointees and White House staffers trying to conceal their identities with sunglasses, masks, and scarves. Who do they think they are, spy kids?
The vigil was orchestrated by former State Department official Josh Paul, who used the opportunity to slam President Biden’s handling of the conflict. “The temporary ceasefire wasn’t good enough for us. We demand more! We must achieve an immediate, permanent ceasefire agreement and the return of all hostages,” Paul declared. Like, who do they think they are to demand all of that? President Biden is the man with the plan, and these staffers are just playing make-believe diplomats.

This is not the first time these Biden staffers have caused a ruckus. Last month, over 700 of them signed a letter asking Biden to support a ceasefire. And just recently, congressional staffers joined the party with their own vigil, sporting the same incognito look. It’s like a game of spies, isn’t it?
It’s clear that these staffers are causing quite the headache for the Biden administration. But let’s not forget who the real boss is here. President Biden is doing his best to navigate this situation while these staffers are out here playing dress-up and demanding things like they’re in charge. It’s time for these staffers to put their sunglasses away and let the real leaders handle this.
