Biden Targets Gamers in Latest Overreach Crusade

President Joe Biden’s administration has taken its crackdown on video games to a whole new level, targeting innocent Americans who just want to unwind with a little virtual fun. Can you believe it? The Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report revealing that the administration is on a witch hunt against so-called “domestic violent extremism” in the gaming world. As if gamers weren’t already dealing with enough challenges like mastering the latest boss level!

The report exposes an unholy alliance between video game companies, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a crusade to root out content promoting violence for political or social gain within the U.S. Sure, the GAO mentions some information exchange and meetings happening, but it’s all a bit shady how these companies are being chosen and what the actual goals are. Shouldn’t they be focusing on catching real bad guys instead of going after gamers?

It’s downright Orwellian how the DHS’ Office of Intelligence and Analysis is snooping on online activities related to domestic extremism and violations of terms of service. This is Big Brother staring at your screen while you try to beat that last boss. And don’t even get started on their five categories of “domestic terrorism.” Sounds like they’re trying to paint everyday Americans as some sort of threat.

The cherry on top is the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) claiming that white supremacist views are infiltrating video games, with numbers thrown around like 20% of adults and 15% of minors encountering such views. Seriously, how many times can they play the race card? But hey, why not sprinkle in some “experts” from the ADL to spice up the fearmongering, right?

And let’s not forget about the FBI classifying every January 6th case as domestic terrorism, even if it’s just a case of someone wandering where they shouldn’t. The Left just can’t resist demonizing anyone who doesn’t toe the line. Will they be coming after Candy Crush players next for inciting riots in the candy kingdom?

This overreach by the Biden administration into the gaming world is a waste of time and resources. Instead of chasing imaginary villains in pixels, maybe they should focus on real-world issues like securing the border or fighting crime on our streets. Gamers just want to game, not be treated like suspects in their own living rooms.
