White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre came out swinging on Monday, defending President Joe Biden against accusations that he’s too old to handle the job. As Biden celebrated his 81st birthday, concerns about his age and ability to lead loomed large. But Jean-Pierre wasn’t having any of it. She confidently asserted that age is just a number and what really matters is Biden’s wealth of experience.
Jean-Pierre pointed out that Biden has accomplished more bipartisan legislation in recent times than any other president. That’s no small feat. She emphasized that his experience has allowed him to navigate the complexities of foreign policy and manage multiple challenges with ease. And to top it off, she reminded the public that Biden is the first president to visit an active war zone without our military in control. That takes guts.\

But what about all those polls showing reservations about his age? Jean-Pierre urged everyone to focus on Biden’s achievements instead, rather than getting caught up in numbers. She confidently declared that Biden’s stamina, presence, wisdom, and ability to get things done rival anyone else’s. And she didn’t hesitate to challenge anyone to put their money where their mouth is.
It’s clear that the White House is standing firmly behind their president. They see age as no obstacle for Biden, and his experience speaks for itself. So let’s set aside the age concerns and focus on what really matters – getting things done for the American people.
