In a recent lashing out, the Biden White House made a feeble attempt to blame Republicans for the never-ending illegal immigration debacle at the southern border. Prior to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s trip to the border, the White House issued a statement attacking Republicans for their response to the crisis.

“Stop talking and start doing something!” White House spokesperson Andrew Bates complained in a statement obtained by POLITICO ahead of the Republican’s border visits. “House Republicans are consistently against securing the border by attempting to reduce Customs and Border Protection personnel, opposing President Biden’s over-the-top border security funding, and refusing to take up the President’s extra funding request.”
“After deciding in 2023 to cut over 2,000 Border Patrol agents and reduce our ability to seize fentanyl earlier in 2023, House Republicans scurried out of Washington in mid-December, leaving President Biden as the only adult in the room to make a bipartisan agreement,” Bates added.
The biased biased folks over at POLITICO highlighted that a recent Pew Research Center poll found that only 32 percent of American adults are very confident or somewhat confident in President Joe Biden’s ability to make “wise decisions about immigration policy.”
Johnson fired back, claiming that Biden “has been neglecting his duty” to secure the southern border, according to The Hill.
“While the President begs for more cash — not to stop illegal immigration — but to process more illegal immigrants through their ‘catch and release’ policy, he has weakened security at every turn,” the Speaker quipped.
“From his decision to revoke the Remain in Mexico policy to the widespread abuse of the parole and asylum systems, there is a clear connection between this administration’s reckless policies and the whopping 300,000 illegal immigrants encountered at the Southern border last month,” Johnson added.
Additionally, Johnson wrote that the Biden administration “chose to redirect the flood of illegal immigrants to another location to keep them out of the camera shots during @HouseGOP’s visit to Eagle Pass. “Don’t fall for it, they are still being released into our country,” he added. “Under President Biden, our Southern border is a disaster.”
