Another horrifying tale of the consequences of lax immigration policies has emerged, this time involving an Ecuadorian illegal immigrant charged with despicable crimes in New York. Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi’s abhorrent actions of tying up and raping a 13-year-old girl in Kissena Park have sent shockwaves through the community.

What makes this even more stomach-churning is Inga-Landi’s calm admission that he not only committed the heinous act but also recorded it. The depths of depravity this man sank to are unfathomable. And yet, despite these despicable actions, there are those who still show him some form of sympathy.
It took the keen eye of a vigilant New Yorker and the bravery of neighborhood residents to put an end to Inga-Landi’s reign of terror. The fact that he was allowed to roam free in the first place can be squarely attributed to the failings of the Biden administration’s border policies.
By dismantling the effective measures put in place by the previous administration, Biden and his cohorts have allowed individuals like Inga-Landi to enter and remain in the country unlawfully, endangering the lives of innocent Americans. The consequences of such reckless decisions are clear in the faces of the two traumatized 13-year-olds who fell victim to this predator.
As authorities work to bring justice to Inga-Landi, it is imperative that the root cause of this tragedy – the Biden administration’s dereliction of duty in securing the border – is not overlooked. Accountability must be demanded at all levels to prevent such atrocities from ever happening again.
