Biden’s Diplomatic Blunders Highlight Leadership Concerns And Foreign Policy Woes

It seems the once-mighty Joe Biden is now a political version of a vintage car found rusting in a barn. His recent meeting with Angolan president João Lourenço looked more like a scene from a sitcom than a diplomatic visit, as the president’s increasing frailty and mental decline painted a rather grim picture of American leadership. Biden needed a guiding hand to maneuver to the podium—it’s almost as if someone thought he was auditioning for the next season of a reality show called “Who Needs a Walker?”

The cringe-worthy moments escalated quickly. Prior to this grand entrance, Biden seemed confused about basic geography. His attempt to describe Angola was so disjointed that one might think he was taking geography lessons for the first time. In a show of all-around awkwardness, he mentioned a “vibrant city” but then stumbled through a correction that left everyone scratching their heads. Clearly, the President is more accustomed to needing assistance than giving it.

As for the media, a bunch of American reporters couldn’t resist shouting questions about the Hunter Biden pardon during the ceremony, proving that even they couldn’t ignore the elephant in the room. The president’s candor about his son’s troubles might have been his biggest distraction since mixing up Angola with a different country. Just try to forget the fact that Hunter’s legal troubles are like a low-budget horror movie—never quite over and always ready to scare everyone involved.

Things escalated further when Biden decided to tackle the subject of slavery, calling it “America’s original sin.” If there was an award for missing the mark, this speech would take the trophy. His obligatory nod to critical race theory as a talking point is not surprising, coming from a leader whose worldview seems skewed by progressive ideology. The audience, not fooled by his sudden moral epiphany, was left bewildered. Noticing that his sincerity was met with silence, Biden even suggested they didn’t have to applaud. One has to wonder if they were having a harder time processing his words or simply enjoying the lackluster performance.

As if that weren’t enough to stunt any hopes for a coherent foreign policy, Biden is also waving an oversized checkbook at Ukraine, throwing billions at the conflict with Russia. Apparently, he believes that handing over long-range missiles could lead us right into the perilous territory of World War III. It raises the question of whether he’s trying to set a booby trap for incoming President Donald Trump, who undoubtedly wants to clean up this mess posthaste. The American people are left watching in disbelief, hoping that January arrives quickly, so the nation can start the healing process from the Biden years—before he does any more damage that will take a generation to fix.
