President Joe Biden made a surprising decision to finally visit East Palestine, Ohio, one year after the devastating train derailment and toxic chemical spill. However, it’s unclear whether he made this decision on his own or if the crafty Democrats and elites orchestrated it to further sink his approval rating. Perhaps they believe another puppet candidate, like former first lady Michelle Obama, should take his place.
Regardless of the motives behind the visit, it is likely to remind residents of Biden’s lack of urgency and disdain for heartland Americans. A stark comparison can be made to former President Donald J. Trump, who showed up just weeks after the accident, offering compassion, reassurance, and supplies to the community. Trump’s presidential approach, accompanied by Republican Sen. J.D. Vance, highlighted Biden’s insulting response to the disaster.

Biden’s excuse of not having enough time in his schedule is hardly believable considering his extensive vacation time. The president has spent 40 percent of his time in office on vacation, according to the Biden Vacation Tracker. East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway sarcastically suggested that the best time for Biden to visit would be in February 2025 during his book tour. It seems many residents would rather spit on Biden than welcome him with appreciative handshakes.
It appears that Biden’s handlers are allowing this visit as an empty gesture, despite the likelihood of it backfiring and further reminding heartland Americans of his failure to show up when they needed him most. There is something suspicious about this visit, and one can’t help but wonder if Trump and his campaign should dig deeper to uncover the true intentions behind it.
