In the latest chapter of President Joe Biden’s snooze-fest State of the Union address, liberals are up in arms over his use of the “I-word.” Yes, you heard that right folks, the dreaded “illegal” slipped out of Biden’s mouth when referring to the alleged murderer of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley. Cue the dramatic gasps and clutching of pearls from the left.

Republicans were quick to pounce on Sleepy Joe, demanding that he actually say Riley’s name during his speech. But alas, Biden failed to directly address the tragic death until that moment, leaving many scratching their heads. And of course, the lefties had to chime in, with former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tut-tutting Biden for not using the more politically correct term “undocumented.” Oh, give us a break!
Democratic Rep. Chuy Garcia of Illinois chimed in, expressing his disappointment in Biden’s use of the forbidden word. Because clearly, in liberal la-la land, it’s more important to protect the feelings of illegal immigrants than to seek justice for a young woman brutally murdered. Bravo, Dems, bravo.
Meanwhile, over in Texas, Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro took it a step further, equating Biden’s language to something straight out of the Trump playbook. Seriously, can these guys go one day without dragging Trump’s name into everything? It’s getting old, folks.
And let’s not forget Marisa Limón Garza, who found Biden’s comments “painful.” Because apparently, it’s now painful to accurately describe someone who entered the country illegally and allegedly committed a heinous crime.
In the end, the Republican-led House took action, passing the Laken Riley Act to hold illegal immigrants who commit crimes accountable. Shockingly, over 170 members of the House Democratic Caucus voted against this common-sense legislation. It’s clear where their priorities lie, and it’s certainly not with seeking justice for victims like Laken Riley.
So there you have it, folks. Another day, another Democrat circus. Let’s hope they get their act together before they turn the whole country into a joke.
