Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) has called out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for her ridiculous and dangerous proposal to restore funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). The agency, which provides critical funding for Palestinian civilians and refugees, had funding from several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, cut after 12 former employees were investigated for their involvement in a massacre that sparked a devastating conflict.
While AOC is out here demanding that the funding be restored, Sen. Britt is not having any of it. She contrasted AOC’s call with the Democrat’s position on defunding the police and rightfully pointed out the absurdity of the left’s priorities. Sen. Britt took to social media to highlight the shocking statistics about UNRWA, revealing that 10% of its staff in Gaza have ties to terror groups, while a whopping 49% have close relatives who are members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad. This agency simply cannot be trusted with a single cent of American taxpayer money.
I like the spunk and tenacity here. We need to call out these idiots everyday. Voters are tired of being gaslit.

In response to AOC’s plea for humanitarian aid, Sen. Britt pointed out the grave implications of funding an agency with such alarming connections to terrorism. AOC tried to defend her position by highlighting the scale of the agency and the potential starvation of millions if funding is cut off. But Sen. Britt wasn’t having any of AOC’s excuses, especially with the serious allegations against UNRWA employees. The State Department temporarily halted funding for UNRWA after the shocking allegations came to light, a move that Sen. Britt fully supports.
As the youngest female Republican senator in U.S. history, Sen. Katie Britt is not afraid to stand up for what is right. She is a rising star within the party, and her no-nonsense approach to holding the far-left’s dangerous proposals accountable is exactly what the American people need. AOC may be spouting off her absurd rhetoric, but Sen. Britt is here to set the record straight and ensure that American taxpayer money is not funneled to groups with ties to terrorism.
