FBI Director Christopher A. Wray dropped a bombshell on Congress this week, revealing that the Chinese government is the puppet master behind the flood of deadly fentanyl trafficking into the U.S. Who would have thought? Oh, wait, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knew that already! But hey, better late than never, right?

Meanwhile, President Biden was off across the country, trying to play footsie with Chinese President Xi Jinping in San Francisco, hoping to get China to stop sending their poison our way. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work. But President Biden emerged like a hero, claiming that China had pinky promised to crack down on fentanyl trafficking and restart law enforcement coordination. What a load of malarkey!
The White House later tried to spin this yarn, saying China had warned its own companies about shipping the deadly chemicals and pill presses, but forgive us for being a tad skeptical. We’ll believe it when we see it. And let’s not forget, China conveniently suspended its participation in tracking suspicious shipments for nearly three years. That’s a real commitment right there, folks!
The experts piped up too, saying that if China actually takes real action, it could help save American lives. No kidding! But pardon us if we don’t hold our breath waiting for that to happen.
Now, let’s rewind to the President’s predecessor, the one and only Donald J. Trump. Back in the day, he demanded that China put the kibosh on fentanyl trafficking, and for a hot second, it seemed to work. But surprise, surprise, the opioid deaths surged again in 2020 and have been on the rise ever since. Thanks for nothing, China!
And don’t even get us started on the southern border. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas dropped the bomb that a whopping 90% of the deadly fentanyl is coming through the official border crossings. But leave it to the Democrats to stick their fingers in their ears and holler about how it’s all just a big misunderstanding.
In the end, it’s clear as day that China is playing us for fools, and the Biden Administration is waltzing hand in hand with them while Americans continue to suffer. Wake up, folks, and smell the fentanyl!
