Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was not exactly thrilled when asked about his low poll numbers during a recent interview. Host Eric Bolling had the audacity to question why Christie, who consistently remains in the low single digits, was even running for President. But Christie wasn’t about to let Bolling off the hook that easily.

With a hint of annoyance, Christie brushed off the question, telling Bolling that maybe he should spend more time analyzing the former president’s psychological state. Christie then proceeded to school Bolling on the unreliability of poll numbers, reminding him of Donald Trump’s shocking victory in 2016, which defied the predictions of all the so-called “experts.”
Christie didn’t stop there. He went on to describe Joe Biden as an “awful president,” claiming that his election was only the result of Donald Trump’s supposed failures. Clearly, Christie isn’t one to hold back when it comes to criticizing the current administration.
It comes as no surprise that Christie, a former ally turned fierce critic of President Trump, also made it clear that he would not be supporting the former president if he secures the Republican nomination in 2024. And when Bolling jokingly brought up the idea of Christie serving as Trump’s vice president, Christie shut it down immediately, claiming that Mike Pence himself had made it clear the job wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Bolling’s laughter at Christie’s response did not sit well with the former governor, who scolded him for his insensitivity. Christie cited the disturbing chants of “hang Mike Pence” on January 6th, suggesting that Trump had somehow given the green light to such reprehensible behavior. Clearly, Christie wasn’t going to let Bolling or anyone else downplay the seriousness of the events that unfolded on that day.
In the face of criticism and skepticism, Chris Christie remains a captivating figure. His blunt and no-nonsense style may rub some the wrong way, but there’s no denying his passion and willingness to challenge the status quo. Whether one agrees with his conservative politics or not, it’s clear that Christie isn’t afraid to speak his mind and stand up for what he believes in. And in today’s political climate, that kind of authenticity is as refreshing as it is rare.
