Johnny Carson warned comedians never to take themselves too seriously. Today’s late-night hosts ignored that wisdom. They traded laughter for activist rants and alienated half the country. No wonder audiences shrank while costs ballooned.
Keith Olbermann actually defended CBS here, showing even broken clocks are right twice a day. Jimmy Fallon now sings silly songs about shorts. These clowns turned what was once entertainment into a partisan circus. Their self-importance finally crashed the whole tent.
This cancellation is long overdue. Woke propaganda disguised as comedy belongs in the trash bin of television history. Hardworking Americans won’t miss being lectured by millionaire celebrities. Better programming will rise to replace this failed experiment.
