Former FBI Director James Comey’s book signing event in Naperville, Illinois was interrupted by former congressional candidate Laura Loomer, who called Comey out on the fact that he is nothing but a criminal trying to write crime novels. Loomer has been following Comey, and this is not the first time she has disrupted his public events. Comey, who was fired by President Trump for refusing to let former President Trump get away with his unethical actions, chose to not reply to Loomer’s accusations.

Unfortunately, Loomer was unlawfully detained for her investigative journalism efforts. Many are wondering if the Biden administration is behind this unjust treatment of Loomer. The FBI’s reputation has been tarnished ever since Comey became the director. Republicans have accused the domestic security agency of “weaponizing” its surveillance against perceived enemies of the Biden administration. A coalition of veteran former agents released an open letter in May decrying “polarization” at the agency that began under Comey and has led to a devastating loss of morale inside the Bureau. Comey is responsible for all these problems and needs to be held accountable.
In fact, House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) has initiated contempt of congress proceedings against the current FBI Director Christopher Wray for refusing to turn over an investigative form that implicates President Biden and his family in a $5 million influence-peddling scheme. The FBI has become politicized and is no longer trustworthy. Conservatives need to continue to speak out against the corruption and lies occurring within the FBI.
