On Wednesday, the House Ethics Committee made a shocking decision to vote against conducting an investigation into Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s disgraceful and dangerous behavior. This radical Democrat from New York thought it would be a great idea to pull the fire alarm while the House was in the middle of a crucial vote to avert a government shutdown on September 30. Yes, you read that right – he actually pulled the fire alarm when there was no fire! This reckless stunt not only disrupted the vote but also violated the DC code, which led to him being charged by the District of Columbia Attorney General and pleading guilty last month.
To add insult to injury, the Department of Justice (DOJ) declined to charge Bowman for “obstructing an official proceeding,” despite it being crystal clear that his actions disrupted the voting process. Democrats were shamelessly whining about not having enough time to read the bill, but it ended up passing with bipartisan support. This is a classic example of Democrats creating chaos and then pretending to be the victims.

The House Ethics Committee’s decision not to open an investigation is utterly baffling. It’s no secret that the Democratic members of the committee likely voted against taking action, choosing to protect their own at any cost. It’s clear that Bowman’s Democrat buddies have fallen for his absurd excuses. This is the same guy who tried to deflect attention from his own wrongdoing by pointing fingers at Republicans and even brought up the January 6 debacle. Talk about shameless deflection!
Let’s not forget Bowman’s shameful and offensive talking points, which initially included a reference to “Nazi” without his supposed “consent.” It’s quite apparent that Bowman is skilled at dodging responsibility and shifting the blame elsewhere.
Furthermore, Bowman has been making waves for his controversial remarks on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Not only did he call for a ceasefire, but he had the audacity to claim that doing so is “what it actually means to be Jewish,” despite not being Jewish himself. This is a prime example of a politician using a serious international issue to push his own agenda.
In addition, Bowman’s outrageous behavior doesn’t stop there. He voted against condemning Hamas as a terrorist organization and even complained about security measures in Israel, going as far as making false claims about having to go through certain checkpoints in the West Bank because he’s not Jewish. It’s absurd and pathetic to see a member of Congress making such ludicrous and baseless statements.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman’s actions are not only reckless and dangerous but demonstrate a complete disregard for the rules and norms of the House. It’s truly disappointing to see a so-called “leader” behaving in such a disgraceful manner and getting away with it.
