Democratic leaders have been stirring the pot lately, and it’s not because they’ve been making too much guacamole at their fancy cocktail parties. They’ve been hitting the road, spreading the gospel of President Joe Biden’s agenda, but it seems like not everyone is a fan of their preaching.
Hillary Clinton, the former first lady, and Secretary of State, found herself in the hot seat at Columbia University when a protester accused her of supporting “war-mongering” Biden. Hillary hit back with a sassy “sit down,” but the protester wasn’t having it. It’s like a battle of wits, but with less charm and more yelling.

Pete Buttigieg, the Transportation Secretary who’s probably never driven a big rig in his life, got his own taste of fury from climate change activists at Michigan State University. They called him “Petrol Pete” because they’re just so clever, and even staged a little picket party outside the conference center. Pete tried to make nice, but they weren’t having any of it. It’s like when you bring a salad to a BBQ, and everyone’s just there for the brisket.
Then there’s Cory Booker, the New Jersey senator who got an earful from pro-Palestinian protesters at a get-out-the-vote event. They waved red-dyed hands and chanted for a ceasefire, like they were summoning the spirits of unrest. It’s like a Halloween party, but with more politics and less candy corn.
And let’s not forget good old Joe Biden himself, the man with the plan and the aviators to match. He had his own run-ins with protesters, getting called out for not declaring a climate emergency and being hounded for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. It’s like trying to enjoy a quiet family stroll only to have the neighbors blasting their music and ruining the vibe.
It seems like these Democrats are trying to preach the good word of Biden, but folks just ain’t having it. Maybe they should stick to virtual events where the “mute” button can save the day.
