The Department of Justice (DOJ) is in hot pursuit of Democratic Missouri Rep. Cori Bush, and boy, oh boy, does she have some explaining to do! It seems that while she was out there chanting “defund the police” like it was going out of style, she was secretly spending taxpayer money on her own private security. Talk about hypocrisy!
Word has it that the Justice Department has unleashed its subpoena powers on the House Sergeant at Arms in order to get their hands on records related to the alleged misspending of federal security funds. You see, back in April, The Daily Caller blew the whistle on Bush and her squad of far-left Democrats, aptly called “the Squad,” for splurging campaign funds on private security. And now, the chickens are coming home to roost.

But that’s not all folks! According to the Statement of Disbursements of the House records, during the first three months of this year, Bush dipped her hand into the deep pockets of the American taxpayer and pulled out a whopping $30,000 for her own personal security. Somebody call 911, because that’s a whole lot of dough!
Let’s break it down, shall we? On multiple occasions, Bush forked over big bucks to ensure her safety. She shelled out a handsome sum of $1,060.00 for security from Whole Armor Executive Protection in good ol’ Bowie, Maryland. Then, just a few days later, she went ahead and dropped $5,000 on security from Nathaniel Davis, Jr, right in the comfort of her home state. And the spending spree didn’t stop there. From Palo Alto to New York City, Bush spared no expense when it came to her personal security.
Now, let’s get to the juicy part – the DOJ’s criminal probe. They’re investigating Bush’s questionable use of taxpayer funds on private security while she shouted from the rooftops about defunding the police. Talk about living in two different universes! It’s clear that Bush has no problem saying one thing and doing another. The irony is so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
When confronted about the DOJ’s probing eyes, Bush’s office conveniently went radio silent. No comment? Really? We all know what silence usually implies. It’s time for Bush to step up, take responsibility, and face the consequences of her actions.
It’s stories like these that make you wonder about the integrity of our elected officials. They claim to be the champions of the people, yet their actions tell a different tale. It’s high time we hold these politicians accountable and demand transparency. We deserve representatives who practice what they preach, not those who conveniently bend the rules for their own benefit. The Department of Justice has its work cut out for them, and let’s hope they dig deep and get to the bottom of this mess.
