Fired CNN host Don Lemon decided to make a splash this Halloween by transforming into none other than Vice President Kamala Harris. Just imagine the sight! Lemon, sporting a brown wig, a string of pearls, and a cobalt-blue suit, tried to capture the essence of Harris. And to complete the act, his fiance, Tim Malone, played the role of President Joe Biden, with silvery white hair and an impeccably tailored suit. They were quite the duo, waving American flags as if they had just won the presidency. But alas, Lemon’s costume didn’t quite hit the mark on social media.
It seems like many Americans are not feeling the Harris-Biden combo. According to a CBS News-YouGov poll, a whopping 42 percent of Americans actually think Harris’s role in the administration makes them feel worse about the entire Biden team. Ouch! Only 18 percent said it made them feel better about the White House. It’s clear that the American people aren’t all on board with this particular “dynamic duo.”
But it doesn’t end there. Another poll found that almost half of Americans, 48 percent to be exact, don’t believe Harris is ready to take over as president if the need arises. Only 32 percent expressed confidence in her abilities. That’s a pretty significant lack of faith. Even the polling average from FiveThirtyEight shows that only 39.5 percent of voters actually approve of Harris’s job performance. Apparently, she’s not exactly winning hearts and minds across the nation.
If I had to see this, so do you.

Meanwhile, it seems like there’s concern about Biden’s age. A Wall Street Journal poll revealed that a staggering 73 percent of voters believe he’s “too old” to run for re-election. And an AP-NORC survey confirmed that a whopping 77 percent of people think he’s too old to effectively serve another four years. Surprisingly, even among Democrats, 69 percent share this concern. It’s clear that the American people have some serious reservations about Biden’s ability to lead effectively.
And let’s not forget that a CNN poll showed that 76 percent of voters are worried about Biden’s ability to finish a second term. More than half of the respondents, 56 percent to be exact, disapprove of his job performance so far. Those are not great numbers, folks.
It seems like Lemon’s attempt to honor Harris through his costume had unintended consequences. The American people are sending a clear message: they have doubts about this administration, with both Harris and Biden at the center of their concerns. The lack of confidence and approval ratings speak volumes. Maybe it’s time for some serious reflection and a change in leadership moving forward.
