Europe Finally Backs Trumps Bold Gaza Peace Plan Will They Deliver

It’s about time the world woke up to the reality on the ground in Gaza, and thankfully, President Trump’s bold peace plan is forcing Europe’s so-called leaders to face facts. For too long, the West has been stuck in a cycle of endless handwringing and weakness—pandering to Islamist terrorists instead of standing firmly with Israel. Now, with a clear, no-nonsense blueprint on the table, we’re seeing the first signs of serious resolve, especially from some European capitals that have desperately needed a spine.

Trump’s 20-point plan is straightforward and uncompromising: Hamas must release all hostages, lay down their weapons, and surrender control of Gaza. In exchange, Israel will halt military actions and free a portion of Palestinian prisoners. This is not a one-sided surrender or appeasement deal. It’s a pragmatic approach to defang the terrorists who have terrorized Israel for decades. Yet, shockingly, some European leaders dare to line up behind this deal, signaling they might finally support real peace instead of endless lip service to hollow “humanitarian” excuses for Hamas.

German Chancellor Merz, French President Macron, and even British Prime Minister Starmer—who’ve previously embarrassed themselves with premature Palestinian recognition—are now throwing support behind Washington’s plan. Even Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, a rare voice of sanity, is refusing to bow to leftist narrative pressure by demanding Hamas disarm before any recognition or aid. This chorus of tentative acceptance shows that Trump’s tough, clear-eyed diplomacy is cutting through the usual globalist smoke and mirrors. These leaders are admitting it: peace requires Hamas’s total defeat, not cozying up to terrorists.

Alas, the real test lies with Hamas, the Islamist death cult that launched a brutal, savage attack in October 2023. For nearly twenty years, these radicals have held Gaza hostage, ruling through fear and violence. Do you honestly think they’ll surrender their grip or trade their murderous ideology for peace without a fight? History and common sense say no. But Western politicians and media keep acting as if Hamas is a legitimate partner rather than the terrorist monster it is. That delusion is what’s fueled endless bloodshed and suffering.

This plan, backed by Trump, is a toss-up for the globe’s peace prospects: either the world stands united against Islamist terror, or it continues enabling these killers and watching innocent Israelis pay the price. It’s a choice between courage and cowardice—and the so-called “progressive” elites in Europe, who have spent decades flattering Hamas and ignoring Israel’s rights, now have a chance to redeem themselves. Will they take it, or will they once again collapse under the weight of their own moral hypocrisy?

One thing is clear: America, under Trump’s leadership, remains the only power willing to confront evil head-on and offer real hope to an exhausted region. Europe’s tentative embrace of this plan—while welcome—is no substitute for strong, decisive action. If Hamas refuses to disarm and release hostages, then so much for “diplomacy.” It’s time to call terrorists what they are and crush them, not reward them with offers or negotiations. Let’s stop pretending peace can come without victory over evil. The question is, how long will the West stay blinded by wishful thinking before it finally acts with the strength it must?
