Superhero fatigue? More like Hollywood is suffering from a severe case of audience abuse. That’s right, folks, it seems like people are starting to get tired of shelling out their hard-earned cash to see their favorite superheroes on the big screen, only to be disappointed by sub-par CGI or preachy vanity projects. It’s no wonder attendance at superhero movies has been on the decline, even with Disney+ churning out superhero shows left and right.
But let’s not stop at just blaming fatigue. This is a symptom of a much larger disease plaguing the entertainment industry. Take Star Wars, for example. Once a beloved franchise that had fans eagerly lining up for anything related to it, now it’s struggling to pull in audiences. Why? Because Kathleen Kennedy and her ideologically-driven storytelling turned the brand into a mess. And people got fed up. If a talented studio took over and brought back the real Star Wars, I’d be first in line at the theater. It’s not Star Wars fatigue, it’s Disney’s Star Wars fatigue.

The same goes for Disney’s Marvel creations. Sure, I’ll watch Guardians of the Galaxy because James Gunn knows how to make a great superhero movie. But the rest? Meh. It’s time for Disney to pass the torch and let other studios take a crack at creating something great with these characters. Superheroes shouldn’t be political pawns, they should be thrilling and entertaining figures that capture our imaginations.
So, Hollywood, take note. Bring back the superheroes we fell in love with. Give us movies worth watching, not self-indulgent propaganda. We’ve been waiting for too long, and it’s time for a change. Let’s put an end to this superhero fatigue by delivering quality films that respect the source material and please the audience. Are you listening, Disney? The ball’s in your court.
