The far-left organization Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is facing yet another scandal after one of their attorneys, Thomas Webb Jurgens, 28, was charged with domestic terrorism for rioting with Antifa in Atlanta. The violent attack on a future police training facility included hurling Molotov cocktails and fireworks at police officers, as well as attempting to blind them with green lasers. Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp described the incident as an act of “domestic terrorism” and vowed to bring those responsible to justice.

This is yet another example of the extreme and dangerous tactics employed by Antifa and their supporters, which the SPLC has long been accused of condoning. The SPLC has been widely criticized for its radical left-wing agenda, which includes labeling conservative groups as “hate groups” and equating them with extremist organizations. This latest incident only serves to further illustrate the SPLC’s willingness to turn a blind eye to the violence and destruction caused by Antifa and its supporters.
The SPLC has also been accused of hypocrisy for its silence on the Antifa riots that erupted in Atlanta two months ago. At the time, the media was initially touting it as a “largely peaceful protest” despite the fact that protesters were attacking police cruisers and breaking windows. Three businesses were damaged after their windows were smashed, according to Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum.
It is clear that the SPLC is not interested in promoting peace or justice, but rather in pushing its own radical agenda. The organization’s silence on the Antifa riots speaks volumes about its true intentions. It is time for the SPLC to be held accountable for its actions and for its members to be held accountable for their involvement in domestic terrorism. The SPLC must be held to a higher standard and must be held responsible for its role in promoting violence and chaos.
