In an ironic turn of events, Gannett, the largest newspaper company in the country, is finding itself on the receiving end of a discrimination lawsuit. It seems that while the Democratic Party loves to preach about equality and diversity, they conveniently ignore when their own allies engage in discriminatory practices.
Five current and former employees of Gannett have filed a proposed class action lawsuit alleging that they were fired or overlooked for promotions in favor of less-qualified women and minorities. It appears that Gannett’s “Reverse Race Discrimination Policy” has led to non-minority employees being denied opportunities for bonuses, awards, and promotions, all in the name of meeting diversity requirements.
It’s infuriating to see a company like Gannett claim to champion diversity while blatantly discriminating against its own employees. This is the same kind of hypocrisy we see from the left consistently. They point fingers at others for being racist or promoting white supremacy, yet their own actions speak volumes.
It’s not just Gannett either. Companies like Starbucks, Target, and Progressive Insurance are also guilty of discriminatory practices, openly seeking minority employees while leaving white individuals behind. It’s as if these companies believe that diversity only applies to certain races, rather than embracing true inclusivity.

It’s no surprise that one of the plaintiffs, Steven Bradley, had previously sued Gannett in a separate case, alleging that he was fired because he is white. This new lawsuit further highlights the ongoing discrimination within the company. It remains to be seen what the outcome of Bradley’s previous case will be, but it’s clear that the issue of discrimination within Gannett runs deep.
The plaintiffs are seeking to hold Gannett accountable by demanding the elimination of their discriminatory 2020 policy, as well as compensation for lost pay, benefits, and other damages. They are fighting for fairness and equal treatment, something the Democratic Party claims to support but conveniently ignores when it doesn’t align with their agenda.
Once again, we see the hypocrisy of the left on full display. While they condemn others and accuse them of racism, they turn a blind eye to discrimination happening right under their own noses. It’s time for the Democratic Party and its allies to practice what they preach and truly work towards a society that values equality for all, rather than just pushing their own race-based agenda.
