House Intel Committee Ranking Member, Other Dems Drive Dagger into Biden’s 2024 Ambitions
In a stunning turn of events, prominent Democrats are openly urging President Joe Biden to step aside as doubts about his ability to win re-election continue to grow. The once-united front is starting to fracture, with even members of Biden’s own party now voicing concerns about his chances in the upcoming election.
Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), delivered a harsh blow to Biden by publicly stating that he no longer believes Biden is the strongest candidate to face off against Trump’s MAGA movement. Himes emphasized the critical importance of the 2024 election for American democracy and called for a new generation of leaders to emerge.
Fellow Democrat, Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA), echoed these sentiments, expressing doubts about Biden’s ability to secure a second term based on his current record. Rep. Eric Sorenson (D-IL) also joined the chorus of voices calling for Biden to step aside, adding to the growing list of Democrats who are publicly breaking ranks with the President.

These calls for Biden to withdraw from the race are not isolated incidents. In fact, they represent a significant shift within the Democratic Party as more and more members come to the realization that Biden’s re-election prospects are dim. The pressure is mounting on Biden as key figures within his own party begin to openly question his ability to win in November.
As the walls close in on Biden, the once-unthinkable scenario of him stepping aside is becoming increasingly likely. The cracks in his facade are widening, and even Democrats are now acknowledging the harsh reality facing the President. It appears that the Biden team’s efforts to paint a rosy picture of his re-election chances are falling flat, as more and more voices from within the Democratic Party speak out against him.
