House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has taken action to obtain records from the National Archives that reveal President Biden’s communication with his son Hunter and Hunter’s business associates Eric Schwerin and Devon Archer. The congressman, who discussed these disturbing revelations on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, expressed his concern about the use of pseudonyms and the involvement of Hunter Biden in government affairs.
According to Chairman Comer, Joe Biden used fake names in emails he received from federal government employees while he was vice president. What’s even more troubling is that Hunter Biden was copied on these emails, contradicting previous claims by the White House that he had no role in the government. This mounting evidence suggests that Joe Biden used his power as vice president to protect his son, who was receiving millions of dollars from a corrupt Ukrainian energy company.
The investigation also revealed that Biden and his administration were communicating with Hunter Biden, despite their claims of a separation between business and government affairs. These emails specifically related to Ukraine, a critical time when Joe Biden was on his way to the country to fire a prosecutor in exchange for foreign aid. This kind of quid pro quo is illegal and further proves Joe Biden’s involvement in this influence peddling scheme.
The records obtained show that Biden, using aliases, kept Hunter informed about discussions with Ukrainian leaders between 2014 and 2016. There were multiple instances where Biden’s aide forwarded the vice president’s schedule to Hunter’s private email address. This included important phone calls with President Poroshenko and announcements about financial assistance to Ukraine. These communications took place while Biden was pressuring Ukraine to dismiss the prosecutor investigating Burisma Holdings, a company where Hunter was a board member.
Despite concerns raised by State Department officials, Joe Biden showed no opposition to Hunter’s involvement with Burisma. In fact, his assistant even provided Hunter with a list of phone numbers of key political figures, including Bill and Hillary Clinton. Devon Archer, one of Hunter’s business associates, admitted that Hunter’s position on Burisma’s board leveraged the Biden “brand” and that Joe Biden spoke to Hunter’s foreign contacts on multiple occasions.
The use of these pseudonyms and the communications that took place raise serious questions about Joe Biden’s integrity and the extent of his involvement in his son’s business dealings. The fact that he lied about his knowledge of Hunter’s position on the Burisma board further erodes his credibility. It is time for a full investigation into these matters and for accountability to be upheld, even for those in positions of power. The American people deserve transparency and honesty from their elected officials, and it is clear that President Biden has fallen short in these regards.
