In a video message that took the internet by storm, Hollywood actor Jon Voight stood firmly in support of former President Donald Trump, defending him against the latest indictment brought forth by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Voight, known for his roles in “Midnight Cowboy” and “Coming Home,” minced no words as he called the indictment a “disgusting scheme” orchestrated by the Biden administration to hinder Trump’s potential run in the 2024 presidential race.
With conviction in his voice, Voight declared, “This is now a war, a war against all of us.” He went on to lambast both the Biden and Obama administrations, painting them as corrupt entities fueling a never-ending cycle of deception. Voight didn’t stop there, expressing his concerns regarding the current administration’s approach to rising crime in the country, stating, “This is a civil war, and the time has come for us to stand for truths.” He pleaded with his fellow Americans, warning that failure to recognize the deceit against Trump would lead to regret for generations to come.
Known for his unwavering support of Trump and previous accolades like calling him the “greatest president of this century,” Voight concluded his message by encouraging Americans not to cower in fear but to allow God’s truth to guide their actions. He urged his countrymen to resist “the manipulation of this government” and take a stand for the freedom that is being eroded by lies and greed.
Voight’s impassioned address comes on the heels of Trump’s surrender to authorities and subsequent release on bond after being indicted on racketeering and conspiracy charges. Alongside him, eighteen of Trump’s associates face similar charges in the indictment. The allegations include refusing to accept the outcome of the 2020 elections and conspiring to unlawfully change their results. President Trump himself faces a total of thirteen charges, including violations of the RICO Act, conspiracy, and forgery.
While a trial date of March 4, 2024, has been set by Federal Judge Tanya Chutkan, Trump immediately vowed to contest the date. Denying any wrongdoing, Trump is steadfast in his determination to clear his name and fight against what he sees as a politically motivated legal battle. Whether he succeeds or not, it’s clear that Jon Voight will remain one of his most ardent supporters, unafraid to voice his opinions and champion the cause he believes in.
