Kamala Harris Dodges Abortion Limits, Angers Pro-Lifers

Pro-Life Critics Blast Kamala Harris for Refusing to Set Limits on Abortion

In a recent interview with CBS News, Vice President Kamala Harris demonstrated just how extreme the Democratic Party has become when it comes to abortion. When asked about when there should be limits on abortion access, Harris dodged the question and instead focused on restoring the protections outlined in the infamous Roe v. Wade case.

It’s troubling to see Harris avoid answering such a simple question. Americans deserve to know where our elected officials stand on such important matters. Is it too much to ask for a clear response on when it becomes unacceptable to terminate a pregnancy? Apparently, the Democratic Party thinks so.

Harris argued that their goal is to “put back the protections that are in Roe v. Wade into law.” While this may sound like a noble cause to some, it’s important to remember that Roe v. Wade allowed for unrestricted access to abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. By supporting such extreme measures, Harris is effectively disregarding the majority of Americans who believe in reasonable restrictions on abortion.

But it’s not just the political rhetoric that has conservatives concerned. Polling data consistently shows that the majority of Americans oppose late-term abortions. A recent Pew Research survey revealed that only 22% of Americans believe abortion should be available without any restrictions at 24 weeks. Yet, Harris blatantly ignores these numbers and dismisses Republican accusations of Democrats supporting abortion up until birth as “ridiculous.”

The reality is that late-term abortions do occur under the guise of “health” exceptions. Even pro-abortion activists like Beth Vial have admitted to having late-term abortions for non-medical reasons. Vial, who aborted her healthy baby at six and a half months, claimed that her unstable housing situation justified the termination. It’s absurd that someone would choose to end a pregnancy at that stage when numerous adoptive couples are actively seeking to raise a child.

It’s time for the Democratic Party to recognize that their extremist views on abortion do not align with the values of the American people. We need leaders who are willing to prioritize the sanctity of life and answer the tough questions. Harris’ refusal to set limits on abortion access is a clear indication that the Democratic Party is out of touch and unwilling to acknowledge the reality of late-term abortions. The time for change is now.
