During a recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Kash Patel, the nominee for FBI Director, showcased a refreshing refusal to engage in the predictable theatrics characteristic of some Democratic lawmakers, particularly from California. During the proceedings, Senator Adam Schiff attempted to ambush Patel over his involvement in promoting the song “Justice for All,” which features the J6 Prison Choir, comprised of individuals facing various charges stemming from the events of January 6, 2021. Rather than getting flustered, Patel stayed focused and didn’t buy into Schiff’s emotional manipulations.
Schiff, always eager for his moment of perceived moral superiority, launched into a snarky line of questioning, suggesting Patel had some explaining to do for supporting a song that skyrocketed to the top of the charts shortly after its release. His contention hinged on the implication that promoting music associated with January 6 defendants somehow justified their actions. Patel, however, clarified that he was promoting funds for families that needed support, not taking a penny for himself. This left Schiff scrambling to conjure up his next jab.

The Democrat senator’s performance revealed more about his desperate need to score points with his base than it did about Patel’s actual actions. As he directed Patel to acknowledge the Capitol Police present, presumably as a setup for guilt-tripping, Patel remained steadfast and looked Schiff straight in the eye, refusing to adhere to the script. This bold stance likely caught Schiff off-guard, as he desperately wanted to frame Patel’s contributions in a negative light.
When Schiff tried to corner Patel, insisting he should tell the officers present that he was proud of raising funds for those accused of attacking them, Patel responded with unshakeable calm, asserting that he hadn’t profited from the song. It’s almost as if Patel had a radar tuned to the low-energy antics of Democrats, rendering their over-dramatic gestures ineffective. Instead of flinching, he threw the proverbial gauntlet back, suggesting that the real question was how the police officers felt about his support.
Patel’s background as a federal prosecutor and his significant roles during the Trump administration only seem to reinforce the confidence with which he handled himself. Having been instrumental in unveiling the dubious origins of the Steele dossier— a project funded by the DNC—Patel seems quite accustomed to navigating the high-stakes world of political gamesmanship. If anything, he appears to be a man who truly understands what it means to stand firm against the odds.
In a time when many might have buckled under the undue pressure and theatrics of ambitious politicians, Patel’s demeanor spoke volumes. He clearly demonstrated that he’s not just another puppet willing to dance to the tune of Democrats like Schiff. There’s no doubt that he won’t be winning any votes from the left, and rightfully so. They’ve made a habit of creating false narratives, and Patel has zero interest in playing their games.
