Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) found himself in the spotlight once again, this time for delivering a scathing evaluation of President Joe Biden’s standing with the American people. During an appearance on a podcast, the Louisiana senator didn’t hold back as he quipped that voters’ lack of trust in Biden extends to even the most basic tasks – like opening a can of Pringles.

Kennedy didn’t stop there, though. He also took aim at the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot, predicting that the move would ultimately work in Trump’s favor. He ridiculed Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) for backing the court’s action, suggesting that it was a transparent attempt to prop up Biden. Kennedy asserted that the American public can see through such political maneuvers, insisting that their justice system shouldn’t be manipulated for political gain.
The senator’s remarks left little doubt about his view of the Biden administration’s trajectory, likening the president’s plummeting poll numbers to a journey to the center of the earth. Notably, Kennedy didn’t miss the opportunity to draw a comparison to Trump’s approval rating during the same period, hinting at a preference for the former president’s leadership.
As if to further emphasize his point, Trump’s 2024 campaign efforts were thrust into the discussion, with Kennedy highlighting the former president’s petition to the Supreme Court to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling. The move, coupled with prior attempts from the state’s Republican Party, indicated a fierce battle to secure Trump’s place in the upcoming election.
In characteristic form, Sen. Kennedy’s bold and unapologetic remarks not only drew attention to the challenges facing President Biden, but also set the stage for the ongoing political showdown between Trump and his adversaries.
