The heartlessness of the liberal elites has no limits! As per a New York Post report, approximately twenty homeless military veterans have been compelled to vacate New York hotels to accommodate recent migrants. The city has been overwhelmed by a continuous influx of migrants, and unfortunately, these disadvantaged veterans were seen as obstacles.
NEW: Nearly two-dozen homeless military veterans were just kicked out of New York hotels in order to make room for newly arrived illegal aliens.
More evidence that Democrats hate our veterans. https://t.co/ccfkxRUm7H

Sharon Toney-Finch, herself a disabled military veteran, established the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation (YIT) to assist struggling veterans in need of housing support. However, this week, the hotels providing temporary shelter to the veterans informed them that their accommodations were no longer available and they had to find alternative arrangements. “Due to the ongoing situation with the immigrants, our veterans have been relocated to another hotel,” expressed Sharon Toney-Finch, the CEO of the YIT foundation.
In Orange County, New York, which is located approximately 60 miles north of New York City, a total of 15 veterans were forcibly displaced from the Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh. Additionally, five more veterans were evicted from two other hotels – the Super 8 and Hampton Inn & Suites in Middletown.
According to Toney-Finch, the initial plan was to offer the veterans temporary accommodation at these hotels for a maximum of four weeks, allowing enough time to secure a permanent solution. However, the veterans had only been staying there for a few weeks before being abruptly and disrespectfully expelled. “Now we have to start all over again. We have lost the trust we had,” she expressed her sorrow.
The mistreatment of these veterans is truly disgraceful, and the fact that they were displaced to make room for migrants only adds insult to injury. Toney-Finch strongly believes that it all boils down to money – the hotels prioritize receiving higher payments for housing migrants rather than assisting veterans in need. “It’s incredibly unjust because, at the end of the day, we are a small nonprofit organization and we pay $88 per day for each veteran’s stay,” she expressed.
It is a distressing situation when our courageous veterans, who fought for our freedoms and way of life, are disregarded in favor of strangers who show no respect for the values of our country. This serves as yet another example of how the liberal elites are undermining everything we cherish. With nearly 60,000 migrants entering New York since January alone, one can only wonder how many more veterans will be neglected before we reach a breaking point.
