Marvel’s Ruffalo Uses Phony AI Pics in Failed Anti-Trump Stunt!

In a recent social media blunder, actor Mark Ruffalo, best known for his portrayal of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared debunked images that had previously been proven to be created by artificial intelligence. Ruffalo posted the images on Thursday, despite the fact that fact-checker Lead Stories had already debunked them in an article from May 9, 2023. The images in question had suggested that former President Donald Trump was posing with young women on a private jet and partying with Jeffrey Epstein.

Ruffalo’s post included a caption that read, “Gross. #MAGA wants to paint everyone on those flights as pedophiles except the one guy who smiles in a group of young girls all headed to Epstein’s ‘Fantasy Island’ with him. My bet is there are some decent republicans left in America that may think this is going too far.” It seems like Ruffalo is not only spreading misinformation, but he’s also making wild assumptions and generalizations about a whole political group.

Lead Stories had already debunked the authenticity of these images and found that they showed signs of being fabricated using an AI program. The website warned that the images had no provenance or explanation of their origin. It’s frustrating to see that Ruffalo didn’t bother to fact-check before sharing this false information. A quick Google search would have sufficed.

However, it seems that Ruffalo’s error is not entirely surprising considering his ideological leanings. It’s well-known that many left-leaning individuals tend to remain within their own “echo chamber” and only consume information that aligns with their beliefs. This refusal to seek out alternative perspectives can be detrimental to intellectual honesty and critical thinking.

While some might argue that Ruffalo may have been genuinely ignorant about the images’ authenticity, it’s hard to believe that an actor and public figure of his stature wouldn’t have access to accurate information. It’s more likely that he knowingly shared these debunked images to further his own narrative or agenda.

So, is Ruffalo a liar or just incredibly ignorant? That’s the question that lingers. Either way, this incident serves as a reminder for all of us to be more discerning and cautious about the information we consume and share, especially in the fast-paced world of social media.
