It seems that the liberal madness has taken over New York City once again. The city council is on a crusade to erase history and remove statues of our founding fathers. Yes, you heard that right – George Washington and Christopher Columbus, two iconic figures who shaped our nation, could soon be relegated to the history books.
According to the proposed bill, any statue or monument depicting a person who owned slaves or participated in any “systemic crimes against indigenous peoples” would be removed from public display. Can you believe it? They want to erase the legacies of those who built this country.

But it doesn’t stop there. If a statue does manage to survive this liberal purge, it will be defaced with a plaque detailing their so-called “crimes.” It’s like a scarlet letter for historical figures. Instead of honoring their achievements, we’re told to focus on their imperfections.
This is not the first time that New York City has succumbed to this type of misguided thinking. Just last year, they removed a statue of Thomas Jefferson from City Hall after it had stood proudly for over a century. It’s a disgrace.
But it doesn’t end with the statues. The city council also wants to establish a “school diversity monitor” to tackle the alleged racial segregation in schools, including charter schools. They’re always eager to play the race card and push their divisive agenda.
And as if that wasn’t enough, they want to form a “Commission on Racial Equity” to examine the city’s history of involvement in the African slave trade. This commission would also determine reparations payments. It’s just another attempt to stoke the flames of division and play the victim card.
Enough is enough. It’s time to stand up against this liberal assault on our history and values. Our founding fathers were flawed, just like every human being, but they also laid the foundation for the greatest nation on earth. Removing their statues and rewriting our history won’t change that fact. It’s time for common sense to prevail over this liberal madness. Our history, our statues, and our founding fathers deserve to be honored and respected, not torn down and forgotten.
